Audio Firewire Solo

How I can connect my guitar into my interface with the computer?

I just got this new M-Audio FireWire Solo interface. I created the interface with the computer, but how I can connect my guitar to her? I can connect my cable to / 4 inch jack one, which I assume is going to my amp, but to which the hole? There are, of course, entry, but there are also emulated DI, CD input, headphone jack, and external input LS EXT. I am very little experience with recording instruments for the team. Please help if you can. PS-The M-Audio Interface connects to the computer via FireWire, if that helps.

It connects to an audio device in decision-M input, like connecting to the amplifier. If you want to run your Amped or processed signal to the computer, run a cable from the amplifier or processor "off" (Preferably not the headset if it has one of those jack). The specific recognition of getting the signal will be of you, the more comfortable with the software being used to record, the easier it will go. Trust me on this! Being as familiar as can be when going to really lay down tracks. You will spend much time playing with the sound levels, start, stop, and edit controls. Good luck! I had to learn all my stuff - I play for children 6 or 7 - the hard way.
