Audio Midi Interface
Question about Alesis Photon series midi / audio driver?
I guess this is a question on the number of photons per Alesis X. I had a little fight to read, but basically I have a few unanswered questions I'm hoping someone out there who has used one or owns one can answer. First, do you have after touching! Second is the Audio Interface of them, good and not yet i really Alesis come across before, they are good in general? Cheers, Pete
I looked at the line specifications, this seems like a pretty bad ass device for $ 100 (the X25 that is). I see no specific mention after playing for product specifications, but I have a 1980 Yamaha keyboard you have after playing (a little cheapo PSR), I think it's safe to assume the Photon does too. The audio interface is as pretty as you can get for USB, 24 bit / 48 kHz is the maximum speed that can record and playback data at the same time (I have a MIDI sound card can do 24/96, but only one way at a time, recording or playback). 10 buttons and knobs of 10 (with 3 layers for each a) is a lot to play. In addition to pitch bend, modulation wheel for ~ $ 100? I would go for it if you do not have a MIDI device.
