M-Audio Studiophile AV 40, what does "studio sound" mean?

These speakers should offer "studio sound." What does that mean exactly. Are there any cons? Are they just better if you are working in a studio, or the sounds generated are ideal for listening music at home too? I guess I'm wondering if there is something on studio sound "that is specific to the studies would not be welcome to listen to music at home without worrying about editing touch, and so mixed?

Those speakers that work well for a stereo. The problem we have is to connect. They are "speakers" which means they have amplifiers built into each speaker. Unable to connect to a home theater receiver directly from the speaker output. Among the speakers are connected at line "products such as the output of a CD or DVD. You can connect to a computer, iPod etc from the headphone jack.
