HELP! How can I set up a home Recording Studio?
I have a Behringer C-1 microphone, a Behringer Xenyx1002 Premium 10-Channel 2-Bus Mixer with British EQs, and my laptop is a Dell Latitude D620 with A140-GB Hard Disk on the Microsoft Vista Ultimate. 32-bit ... What do I need to successfully set up a recording studio? I know I need acoustic foam and padding, I just want to know what other equipment do I need ... if anyone can answer this then it would help ALOT.THANX
You need a Usb Audio Interface - get this, the sound from the mixer to your computer - it works much better than your computer's sound card installed. http://www.zzounds.com/item--LEXALPHA Do not worry now about the padding. As long as your room has many pictures of objects in it (furniture, appliances, etc.) should be OK.
