What recording equipment do I need?
I've been trying to find answers for about 2 weeks, but I'm not sure what I need to do audio sound really good, or if it is only by the professional qualities of Studio Ultimate. I really want good quality, but the most extreme, simply very good. I came to the choice of this equipment for my studio setup: the Audio Interface (sound card onboard trash preferred audio interface box) mic Preamp Mixer (mixer says people are crappy Pre Amp) Studio Monitor Headphone Microphone Cables, Stands, But here is the problem, do not know what audio processors such as equalizers, compressors, and other things I need. Idk if I need a headphone preamp also a monitor control, signal processing, audio converter. So please and thanks, what else do I need?
People will stop responding to their questions, simply because you are being annoying. Asking the same questions week after week, suggests if you really need help at all. You'll get mixed responses on the Internet. It is the Internet. Anyone can answer your questions, professional or not. In short, there are several ways to get quality sound. And No, not going to get the highest quality, and professional studies without using the computer software, very beautiful. So ..... An audio inteface not have a sound card on board. It simply an interface that has an input signal and transfers it to your computer via USB or FireWire. Mixer - You do not need this unless you need capabilites mixture. What is mostly for use LIVE. No need to adjust the EQ for each channel or send / receive signals from various different channels, because you can do all this in burning software. Mic Preamp - Yes, it is ideal to get one. The preamps in a mixer or audio interface are NOT, by far the top line. It always depends on your budget. Studio Monitors - if you precise mix INSURANCE these do not hurt. The headphones work as well. Microphone - Rode, Neumann, Shure, AKG, and are very popular in school. Equalizers, compressors are like PREAMPS Yes. If you can afford a studio rack configuration THEN get them. If not, use the settings in your recording software to do this. They have filters that do this for you. ALSO damn call a representative at a music store if you're not going to trust answers you get in Y! A.
