DJ Equipment - XLR Splitter - Subwoofer - red ... Questions?
Soil make 2 strings of my mixer (two audio outputs) on my subwoofer, and that in my network (Mackie SRM 450). Lately, I think my subwoofer (with a peak) has not been getting enough "juice" to (my Mackie Volume 9 point) causing them to cut out every so often. Does anyone know how I can fix this and my next idea or will distort the sound? I thought a couple of cables XLR splitter "And my mixer directly to my network and the other part of the cable directly to my subwoofer. What should I do? I'm running on a tight budget and not really want to spend much money. Serious answers please! Thank you.
Yes, the XLR spacers will work fine. The other way I was doing was essentially the same thing because the sub only "passing through" the signal anyway. Another thing to check is to ensure that all XLR cable connectors are clean. This can cause the problem you described. Get a little contact cleaner or rubbing alcohol and clean each XLR male and female. Use common pipe cleaners for females and q-tips for males. This may solve your problem for not much money.
