How can I determine the internal resistance of the cell with the help meter bridge?
The internal resistance is one of the worst areas taught of physics. It is important to recognize that this is a fictitious resistance. It's not like a resistor somewhere in the interior of the cell. What it is a measure of the fact that the Voltage of a battery is on its load - depend on how much electricity it supplies. There are many possible reasons for this resitivity on by intrinsic reaction of electrolytes and electrodes. What we would like is a cell that dV / dI = zero. What we find is that the current changes less voltage - dV / dI is not zero is. Now you will recongise that the units of the dV / dI are Ohm - it is often referred to as a resistance, and can it be a practical way model. Since it may be fictional, they not be measured directly - it can only have reacted, as by measuring the decreasing battery charges associated increasing flows.
