How do I connect my microphone Shure SM 58 directly to the computer to record voice?
Hi I was wondering how I could connect my Shure SM 58 with this configuration http://pro-audio.musiciansfriend.com/product/Shure-SM58-Microphone-with-Cable-Stand?sku=485179 directly into my computer. Can I I use the cables in this series and in one way or convert to USB? Thank you.
The Shure SM58 is a good microphone. As you know, it uses XLR (balanced) connectors. You must go from XLR to USB. Shure the "X2U" card ... MicMate manufacture and Blu Icicle Similar cards ... There are other ways, but it is more direct answer to your question. M-Audio Fast Trak Pro, MobilePre can do this conversion, Guitar Center too and musicians perform all friend.
