i dont have an electric mixer, I could make shortbread cookiedough mixing by hand instead?

I have so moved with my dad and I have all the ingredients lots of cookies (to the people to pay for Christmas) and I was about to start on the pastry dough, because it can be in the freezer for a few days to go .. but I noticed i dont have an electric mixer or even a hand mixer .. I could just mix it by hand with a spoon? the recipe for the butter and cream cheese are mixed together until fluffy, until then the vanilla and sugar, mix, and then to low, flour and salt .. Wisking would the butter and cream cheese hand make it finally fluffy? Thanks to proven, they are great. idk asked why it for cream cheese. I have it from when the marthastewart.com

Cookie dough must be mixed by hand. It should not be thin enough to pour, but it should be thick enough to be at ablr ball up
