Mixer Usb Audio

What makes a Usb Mixer actually do?
I am a musician and most of my knowledge, the inclusion of working with live equipment and not so much with. I need to record a tape into a USB mixer, like a normal mixer, plug in my laptop and the audio tracks into separate species to work for me. Is this the Presentation from a USB mixer, or am I just making up equipment? if it is what you would for a small band plays mainly guitar, bass, drums, and possibly vox recommend? And if not this is a USB mixer that does something there that I described? Thanks in advance.
Matt - A USB mixer is like a normal mixer but it has USB output In addition to the normal analog output. You really need to read the small print when shopping for a USB mixer recording - not many of the cheaper the tracks separately. Instead, they give you only a right / left stereo mix output via the USB cable. To record the tracks separately, you need a recording interface with multiple Inputs - which are very expensive. Anyway, a cost-effective way to do that is to receive interface, a standard Usb Audio and connect it to the RCA tape outputs Your normal mixer. This will not single track, but it will be a nice stereo mix from the mixer directly to your computer.
