What power supply for my computer I can get as hp video card work with a 8800GT?
HP Pavilion a6109n I have one and I was to see what PSU would work with a 8800GT graphics card. I asked what to get hp and they said I can get any normal ATX power supply with 460W or less, not more. Is that true?
I have a HP Pavilion DY4890Y, that came with 350W. I installed new 500W power supply and a 8800 GT OC. He worked well for the first week, but then the whole computer was slower. Other Yahoo answerer's told me that my power supply might not know enough.So long story short, I'm freaking idea, too many contradictory answers. I have not the time to use the Watt-made computers. You need to know everything to calculate watts. I've seen a few of them on the net.I HP would not trust to answer that question for you. I was talking to them the other day and just hung up on em, because his buddy a few leaves with a handbook not a knowledgeable tech.
