Recording Condenser Microphone

Types of microphones and their uses
The main thing behind the work of a microphone diaphragm. Any microphone technology depends the membrane, because the only thing that captures sound waves to create the signal. Thus, whatever the technology, the operation of the microphone is the same way. But of course, differ for different uses technology as every microphone has its own use.
Technically speaking, there are five types of microphones used for various purposes. Starting with the most recent, it is the wireless microphone that is very popular nowadays. They are widely used for recording and dissemination of sound. These microphones are portable and can be connected to the camera, recorder, or speakers without cable. In this system, there are three components that work together to create and send a signal to where it is recorded and amplified.
First, it is the microphone itself is small fixed clip around the ear or in the back. Then the transmitter which converts the signal an audio signal or the FM, VHF, UHF or radio spectrum. The last component is the antenna, which broadcasts the signal from a short distance. These microphones are used in different types of programming such as television shows, stage shows or shows with bands.
Other types of microphones are:
Dynamic microphones: These work with the help of electromagnetic induction. There is a magnet that induces passage of current in the wire. When the diaphragm vibrates due to sound waves, the magnet is moved and this movement creates a current of low intensity. As Dynamic microphones are strong and resistant to moisture, they are mainly used in the stage performance by singers or bands.
Condenser microphones: These are known as capacitors as the diaphragm acts as one plate of a capacitor and the vibrations produce changes in the distance between the plates. And these changes are amplified to create a measurable signal. However, condenser microphones require a small battery to provide a voltage across the capacitor. As they are capable of producing high sound quality, they are used in laboratory and studio recordings.
The Ribbon microphones: These microphones performed with the help of a metal strip that is suspended in a magnetic field and is connected electrically microphone. This tape is moved by sound waves that change the current flowing through it, and therefore electrical signal is generated. Ribbon microphones are used mainly in drums and cymbals.
Crystal Microphone: In these microphones, a crystal is attached to the membrane which creates a signal when the diaphragm is vibrated by sound waves. In fact, it uses the phenomenon of piezoelectricity. This means that there are materials like crystals that produce a voltage when subjected to pressure, to convert the vibrations into electrical signals. However, crystal microphones are used with equipment vacuum tube as the internal tape recorders. They are even used as contact microphones to amplify the sound of the acoustics of musical instruments.
Carbon microphones: These microphones were used in phones in the past. They mainly use carbon dust which has a membrane thin metal on one side. And when the sound waves hit the diaphragm they compress the carbon dust that changes its resistance. This resistance evolution Changes in the amount of current passing through.
