Studio Condenser Mic
I have a Samson CO1 Microphone and UM-1EX Usb Midi Interface, what else I need to start recording music?
You want to start recording music, I have FL Studio 8, and need a little help for that too. Please give product names, costs, labels, and where I might be able to find them. Thank you!
To start "registration" music you need something that connects to the microphone AND provide phantom power (since it is a condenser microphone). If you're just trying to make beats, you can use the soundcard on your computer, but believe me, the sound will be much lower quality and worse, you'll experience latency (time it takes to play a note when you press a button) with your MIDI device (I'm assuming it is a keyboard). I'm just basing my suggestion on your interface Mic, because all this could be a little better, at least it's not a toy Walmart. There are high-end features, but even interface at low prices may seem good with a great mic, so think to upgrade the microphone after obtaining an interface. Just so you know what you buy, the interface makes the sound we hear (analog) and converts it into sound that the computer can understand and redraws much information (digital).
