Earthquake in Italy, a scientist who predicted the quake was gagged .....?
Tremors http://uk.news.yahoo.com/4/20090406/twl-scientist-gagged-over-quake-warning-41f21e0.html were felt first in the region in mid-January and continued at regular intervals, creating a mounting alarm in the medieval city. A month ago, vans with loudspeakers drove around the city telling local to evacuate their homes after Giuliani, the National Institute of Astrophysics, predicted a big earthquake was on the road. However, this outraged the mayor of the town. Giuliani, who based his prediction on the concentrations of radon gas in seismically active areas, police were informed for "spreading alarm." He was also forced to remove the results from the web. So a man with a little power can be held responsible for some of these .............. deaths Surely the "safe not sorry 'rule would apply?
