"I can use this adapter with this device?!?
I have a Lexicon Omega Desktop Recording System (http://www.lexiconpro.com/product.php?id=6) I lost the adapter. In the back of the device near the input power and says 9V AC 1300mA. Would it be safe to use an adapter specifications Output: 12 V and 1250 mA for power? Well, I've tried connecting and turning on it. It works, but I wonder if I can continue to use it without causing permanent damage the device. The Encyclopedia accepting an AC adapter and AC puts out too.
No, it will probably fry something. I used an adapter with greater output power for my camera once and burned the inside of it all, he had literally smoke coming out of it! I'm not an electrician and I can be wrong but I advise against it.
